RED Focuses on Hybrid Launch and Amália Mission
Currently composed of 70 members, RED is developing the Amália mission, focusing on the transition to hybrid engines. After successful static tests, the goal for 2025/26 is the actual launch of the rocket.
Technical teams are innovating across several fronts: Propulsion is focusing on new technical parameters, Electronics is developing new avionics and a dedicated PCB for testing, and Recovery is working on a controllable parafoil system for the nosecone.
Additionally, the R&D department is developing the "Ínclita Geração" mission in partnership with Ciência Viva, having already successfully tested the Magalhães engine equipped with Thrust Vector Control (TVC).
